That's a tentative title, of course. The game isn't a direct follow-up to Battlefield 1942 or Battlefield: Vietnam. Instead, it jumps forward to the world of modern warfare. The sequel will feature the latest in modern small arms, heavy weapons, and fighting vehicles -- M-4 carbines with IR scopes; M-60 machineguns with steadying bipods; M-1 tanks with reactive countermeasures; and of course, much more.

this game better fix the lag problems i had with BF:V. I was sorely turned off to the BF franchise after that demo. :fork:

As was I. I have the game and DC mod but god is it ever the worst game with lag.

i can't believe it can be so bad at times. when i play UT2k4 or america's army, it's incredibly smooth with almost zero lag. BF makers seriously need to change their netcode.
BF engine & netcode = sucky sucky big time.
BTW am I the only one who finds the combination of 'latest in modern small arms' and 'M60' laughable? They're propably too lazy to model a new weapon so they'll just rip off what they made for BF:V...

Looks like the paper picked up some screenshots from BF:Modern Combat for Playstation2 and drawed their own conclusions...

:roll:Hmm i thought it was the new battlefield game for PS2 they were working on. I could be wrong. It could even be the same game :) .
And yes BF1942 is still beter than BF:V imho.

The only manifestation of BF I can tolerate is Forgotten Hope, a much more realistic mod. Anything else is CRAP. Shame on EA and DICE.
