I've just acquired a plain G8 (WEP) jacket and would like to ask for info & pics on patch placement in Viet Nam era. (I know that it was not actually designed as a jacket, but was popular amongst USN/USMC pilot & aircrewsat the time) :
1. Do they stitch on Velcro to stick patch on or direstly put the patchs on?
2. Is leather name plate (Brown or black?) or fabric ones predominant in that era?
3. I am planning to put "Intruder, Prowler or Crosair II" unit patches on the jacket, any source or suggestion of properly paired unit/aircraft/carrier/air station?
4. Please post Pics with G8 jackets in use if you can find'em.
