I was looking for something in my closet today, and what do I see...My Class A Uniform. As I looked at it, it brought back a rush of memories.
I can remember when I received each and every ribbon, tab, etc...And I thought, Which one meant the most, not saying any were less.
And I have to say it is the Ranger tab. Not just because of the "Ranger" aspect of it, but because that, by far, was the toughest challenge, both mental and physical, in my Military career.
Boot camp/AIT, Airborne school, Air assault school, EIB, 2 Foreign jump wings and the other things I've done in the Army compared little to this challenge.
Believe me, I had my doubts about making it through successfully. But when it was all over, and I received my Ranger tab...Nothing could stop me!
So anyway, I was wondering what award that you have received, means the most to you?

The hand shake a Lebanese soldier gave me, thanking me for risking my life for his country.
The look in the faces to those Serbs when we cleared they fields for AP-mines.(3 young men had lost their legs on that field, and they also had lost 23 cows.)

The badge on the left on the picture. Överlevnad - Förvarsmakten. Survival
training badge of the Swedish defence forces simply. It´s nothing really exclusive,
but well the finest I got. And it meant more to me than the markmanship badge
and so forth, because to get that I had to feel sick of hunger, to hallucinate,
to fall asleep standing and a lot of other nice things.
well my Nigerian Defense Academy meritious badge was great for me cause my folks were there to see me get it.And some other UN awards were good as well

Crawling through a cold stagnant marsh for nearly a K and managing to swipe an observer's PRC antenna(as well as completing the objective) during our final exercise won me Best Stalk from the OC and a 12 Stubbie shout.
But I don't have any medals.....poor me :(

What did you do to get that Courage Medal, if you don't mind me asking.
Endure watching trough the entire movie 'Delta Force' to try and see if there's some US tactics in it. Oooooh the horror. No medal is good enough to repay for THAT! :P

For annihilating Saifullah-Khodja, the local commander of mujahedin. The operation took place 15 km. East of small town called Azamhan in Afganistan.

Do any of you have the "I love me" wall ? Like, one wall dedicated to your Military stuff. Awards, pics, flags, etc...

On my uniform.. the stripes mean the most. It makes me the third generation of US ARMY NCO's in my family. Three generations of leading and training US ARMY soldiers.
My blood wings are buried with my great grandfather.
The award I will remember the most, is when I met some survivors of the USS Indianapolis.. and they thanked me.. for my service. I will never forget that handshake.

One of the most satisfying experiences was in Bosnia in January 96, when a teary-eyed very old Bosnian man came up to my post, he wanted to shake my hand and thank me for being in his village making it safe for him.
We had a short talk in a mix of Bosnian, German and English, shook hands and he left again, I took a very deep breath and carried on with my duties. Felt good.
