There was a company not long ago in US, forgot which one but sold something similar. I think they were from Florida.

H&K made and marketed them originally. I don't think they got a heck of a lot of use actually from inside the case.

I have a book about the world anti-terrorist units, and the Portuguese GOE already something like this. Nothing the strong relation that the GOE have with the British SAS, I bet that they also have this.

Just needs a laser Sight to be built in and it would be fairly effective

A U.S. Army soldier shows off a briefcase-concealed German-made MP5K submachine gun in Baghdad, Iraq Monday, April 14, 2003. It was one of 22 such weapons the Army found in an arms cache the day before.

The Mp5 briefcases found in Baghdad were "supposed" to be for Saddam's personal guards during public outings. Have a couple of guys w/ AK's and have the rest w/ suitcases.
I'm pretty sure here in the U.S. if you have a concealed weapons permit, you can make such a device, of course it would have to be semi-auto, unless you have additional permits. It's just like a cane gun or a walking stick rifle. I've fired a 1 shot - 12 gauge cane. Rather interesting and it will be one of the things I buy if I ever need a cane for mobility.

That is not the case. According to the ATF, any device or attachment that conceals and and allows the firearm to be fired in that configuration will have to be registered with the National Firearms Act as an Any Other Weapon. Reference http://www.cs.cmu.edu/afs/cs/user/wbardwel/public/nfalist/atf_letter18.txt. Registration of such attachment is $200. Transfer fee is $5.
Concealed weapons permit (not many states term it that way) but rather a concealed firearms permit only allows for the concealed carry of a firearm.

OK I appreciate the additional info, but it is in fact attainable. Just a little pricey, but hell... like I mentioned above with the cane gun it would be worth it. They have been around for ages. Some of which are classified as relics, so they are no longer subject to GCA provisions. (Those are hard to come by)

I'm not sure about cane guns, but there are many different types of firearms that are classified as antiques (pre-99), but are still subject to NFA registration.
Example: Maxim machine guns. Some pre-99 < 16" Winchester rifles are subject to short barrel rifle registration.

If you remember Saddam requrested not to be hanged and instead exicuted by a firing squad. May be he was expecting the firing squad to be armed with the gun in the third picture. lol
