New York, October 1, 2003?The Second District Court in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius yesterday ruled that the State Security Department overstepped its authority when it shuttered the pro-independence Chechen Web site KavkazCenter on June 20.

The State Security Department disconnected and confiscated KavkazCenter's server at the private Vilnius-based Internet provider Elneta on June 20 because the Web site was allegedly spreading "terrorist propaganda," according to local and international press reports.

Nonetheless, Al-Jazeera reported that the toll among Iraqis in Fallujah has topped 700 and another 1,200 have been injured, according to medical and US military personnel. Most of the victims are women and children.

I mean that most victim are know to be civilians (unarmed ones.......) but to say "woman and children"......

Theres that word again "propaganda" you always dismiss it as propaganda if you don't agree with it, like all that bull**** in that Russian forum accusing America of war crimes, but thats propaganda too...Besides CNN made that documentary and it has not only the Chechen side but the Russian side as well.

Easy, easy. Even an unbiased documentary can be used for propaganda purposes. It's all in the perception.

Pictures don't lie, but what about the people who publish the pictures?

The site Kavkazcenter is propaganda. That does not mean that everything there is lies. The Russians have their own propaganda, and it's not all lies.

Every spinmeister knows that a lie is best when it is almost completely true. Almost.

Nay. The one I had before (that the guys didn't like) was a silly joke. The one I have now is the original OMON patch, stretched vertically to better accomodate to the 150x150 avatar size.

No offence, guys. Take my interest in your language as a compliment. Russian is way too difficult to pick up just like that, but at least I have the letters under control. Sorta.

Off to a PECTOPAH for some lunch. :)
