Interesting video. Very patriotic. Some of their claims are questionable to say the least (in the scene with the guys going into the weird looking oxygen tank/tube, they were talking about drugs that can allow the soldiers to stay underwater for 30 minutes). The Jedi **** looked funky too.

The narrator made an interesting claim, that Soviet GRU spetsnaz attacked an "American" camp full of spies and saboteurs in May 1968 in Cambodia, killed 15 American "commandos," and flew a super cobra helicopter back to North Vietnam.

Any military historians/ SF folks care to comment on the Cambodia claim?

Here is a much better video about vympel (also in Russian)...supposedly some of it is taped in the Carribean and Vietnam (mid-80's) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3766263126587094459&q=spetsnaz&hl=en

Great documentary.

Some amazing staff they did.
Parachuting onto “taken” ship’s helo pad at 15 meters/sec wind with water +4 Celsius is truly impressive.

I heard the helicopter story before, some say they stole helicopter, some say they raided the airfield and only dismounted some sensitive equipment from it.
