What to do when you accidently have swallowed mercury.

1) Panic. Totally flip out.

2) Start running around in the room while looking for a phone.

3) Remember that by running your gonna get the mercury faster in to your blood system. Time to boost the panic while remembering that.

4) We all going to die. While this nugget sinks in, calm down.

5) Sitt down, have cigarette while the pictures of those Japanese mercury poisoned people that you saw on that documentary on TV many years ago looked like start flashing through your mind.

6) Go in to totally panic, this will help you out to not find the number to where you might get some help.

7) Call the Poison hot line, tell'em what happened, and be baffeled while they tell you to seek a doctor within 2 days.

Speaking of mercury, i remember a very stupid thing i did as a twelve year old; I was out of school for a day due to a cold, a mate of mine came rushing over after school and seemed very nervous. After asking what the matter was, it turned out that he'd stolen a vial of mercury from the science room. Only a small thing, but it must have weighed about half a kilo!
Here comes the good part, we emptied it out into our hands and started fekking playing with it, not knowing how toxic it was. Did all kinds of stupid experiments, including cooking it and putting water on top to see it boil(!), and ended up taking it with us to a big apartment block and have it dropped from the top floor. Some sight when it hit the ground... Anyhow, all common sense dictates that we both should be dead, or worse, completely retarded (something we must have been from the start as we were able to do such a stupid thing).
Well, we never told anyone about it and seeing as the science teacher almost panicked the day after when he noticed it had gone (riddance to him for not keeping it locked away!) and to our knowledge have not suffered any ill-effects either...
