The first day of the new year is also the last day for Slovak Contingent in MND CS. According to the decision of Slovak government Slovakian soldiers will go back home. They have been a part of MND CS since the beginning of the mission. The farewell ceremony was held on Monday (January, 1st) in Camp ECHO, Ad Diwaniyah.

it is for defense against Explosive Formed Prjectiles (EFPs). Wont go into the tech specs but is very basic and nothing major. Looks really funny on the front of the armoured toyota landcrusiers

no, its Iraqi.
all of Iraqi guys ahave them on their vests and if you look at one a bit closer (guy on the right), you'll see that colours match Iraqi flag, not French.
Also, I'm pretty sure that they have those stars on the white bit of the crest.
