View Full Version : Source for affordable Multicam BDUs?

So far the best source I've found for Multicam BDUs less than Crye's stuff has been a company that won't be shipping them for another month - at about twice the cost of "regular" BDUs. That price I can probably live with, but I'd rather have them sooner than March!
Does anyone have a good source?

Why? the US Army doesn't use Multicam.

Multicam is not usually in the same sentence as affordable. If it is, then its a knock off. I have a knock off uniform ( it was like 60 bucks) but the color isnt nearly as good as the real stuff.

For my purposes, knock offs will probably work fine.

Depends on what you call affordable.
I did a list for my team a few months ago.
The most relevant stuff should be this:
http://sealsactiongear.com
http://skdtac.com
http://kmnw.co.uk/specials.htm
http://dropzonetactical.com
http://www.afmo.com/MultiCam_BDU_s/407.htm
I can only reccomend SKD. Best stuff you can get besides crye with good stiching.

As long as you don't want it for camouflage. The knock offs are brighter than the real stuff and stand out more.

It looks like I may end up going with SKD, though they do not seem to have my sizing in stock.
I found these knockoffs as well, very reasonable price though the color may indeed be way off:

Those were the exact pair that I got from the same site. Go with SKD if these are your two options.

TRU-Spec will be making a TRU cut uniform in the multicam pattern this year. We have already ordered our batch, and they will be about the same price as the other TRU uniforms. And yes, it is the real Crye pattern.

ok, i just got back today from airsoft...sence im assumeing thats what you will be useing them for.
well I low crawled through mud and sticks, dove in and out of shrubs, ran, walked, slid, and fell. they are still together, no stiching has come undone and there are no rips.
oh..and the have the same fit as your normal BDU's.
so +1 for SKD and +2 for Multicam :-P

I would be very interested in knowing when TRU-Spec will be releasing. I did a little pharming about on their site and zero real loving. I feel like contacting them. Outfitting my boys is going to kill me otherwise.
A word of warning: There is a lot of fake multicam out there. Some from southeast asian is pretty decent, but much of it is sustandard to the point of being laughable. I have seen one set that was so light it might as well have been bleached khaki. Another set I saw the boys have dubbed it "LLPat" or "Lemon-Lime-Pattern" because it was so yellowish green. The real deal is great stuff. Works very well in multiple environments. The fake stuff looks plain terrible. Dont get me started on how easy it is to wear out the fake stuff either. One set one of my bros got was made with real Crye material, but the stiching fell appart. The place that sold it (www.snappysupply.com) has pulled everything but their pouches and boonies. It was some real useless crap. Another set from another site (http://www.usmilitarysurplus.com) was the same way.
I hear good stuff about SKD. Anyone know if they make pants in XXXL? I usually take XXL, but Multicam is some snug **** on me. I know the XXXL from Crye will fit, but $100USD is a bit much...plus I have to wait until may 2007...may is my birthday though. Heh.

XXXL
OMG what?
I got the L size(I usually am an L person) and I can swim in them. You could probably hide an MBT in XXXL.

Not so much anymore. Crye systematically asked stores and ebay etc to remove those items and they did. Only very few smaller stores still sell copies and then you can really make it out from the price.

So while I have yet to get multicam, since I'm now waiting for SKD to get the correct sizes in stock....
I did see T-pattern (1999 URBAN WARRIOR urban pattern) available from Red Wolf Airsoft while I was looking for Multicam. I ordered a set, since I've been interested in this for a while but never found a source that wasnt sketchy.
When they arrived, guess what name and logo was on them?
Blackwater Gear.

We ordered 70 complete sets. Retail will be $70ea for tops, $70 for bottoms. The reason for the price increase is the roylaties they have to pay Crye., So you can wory about these being knock-offs, they are the real pattern.
They will also have BDU cut uniforms in multi-cam.
We do not have delivery times yet, but we will post it on our page as they get close and open up the pre-orders.
