Australian Army Summernats

I just saw a news clip for Summernats 20.
Summernats is the biggest car show in Australia and they had some footage of a pimped up APC that reminded me of the Army vehicle at Summernats 19.

This is not the APC that is at Summernats 20. I've seen an artical on this carrier but can't find any other pics. The interior is all pimped out as well.

It was done by army apprentices, it's an exercise in engineering more than making a pretty vehicle.

The "digital cammo" pattern has been around since at least the early 80's in the ADF.

Crap. It's beautiful! what more would you want? A supercharged V8 Landrover capapble of doing 4WD burnouts! I think it's sexy! It's giving me a battle chubby!

yup a bit more power than the turbo is used to have in it

It has a new paint job because it caught fire when the driver ( a current apprentice) was doing standstills and over heated it......Whole cab was destroyed.

Had a private show of it getting ready for the Summernats and had it all explained to us.....cool piece of marketing kit.....only now we need a pimped out M113/Leopard to go against it....

I heard on the grapevine that they are, with some sort of fancy camo. You can do a search for it if you can be stuffed.:p
