420 is the police code number for pot, at least it is in the States. So on April 20th each year all the pot heads get high like they always do. Its pretty pointless.

420's origin IS known.
the term 420 originated at San Rafael High School, in 1971, among a group of about a dozen pot-smoking wiseacres who called themselves the Waldos, who are now pushing 50. The term was shorthand for the time of day the group would meet, at the campus statue of Louis Pasteur, to smoke pot. Intent on developing their own discreet language, they made 420 code for a time to get high, and its use spread among members of an entire generation.
So there ya go, someone's parents out there invented the term 4/20.
And remember this:
There are NOT 420 chemicals in Weed. It's about 315, the num. goes up or down depending on what you're smoking.
4/20 is NOT police code or Maryjane.

Its funny, the private school where I coach girls lacrosse, they have a game tonight, and I am willing to bet 100$ that every girl on our team will be stoned as ****. And if you've never smoked pot, lighten up, dont knock it unless you've tried it, I used to have the same grumpypants outlook on pot as most of you. then I did this crazy thing called "experimenting" whoooooooo. Had a good time, now I do it once every 3 or 4 months or so. Doesnt do damage to anyone. Cocain is a helluva drug.

I used to go to a party on 4/20 (i reckon its really written 4:20), get ****faced, screw a chick, smoke a doobie and wake up on the pavement, but ive matured alot since then, and being a professional and holding a position of authority at work, i would look REALLY bad if i showed up hungover or very hungry the next day.

One year when i was in highschool the basketball, cheerleading and football teams were all disbanded and had their medical permission slips to participate in sports pulled because they were all drinking and hitting the bong at a party.

All athletes at my school had to sign a petition at the start of the season swearing they would not use drugs or alcohol, and if anyone even suspected they did, they were booted.
