I know you guys get sick of this, (i'm sorry) but I never could understand why 1PSK never got any mini-beryl's. As its a common practice of using something like a 10.3 inch Mk18 as with Americans, etc. I would think it would be a better option over the full size beryl in PSD and urban fighting as in Iraq.

But they exchange comments on the standard wz.96 Beryl assault rifle with designers from Fabryka Broni in Radom (FB Radom-Lucznik) and the construction department there created the Beryl Comando assault rifle. This is a wz.96 Beryl assault rifle version with 406 mm barrel, more suitable for 1.pspec soldiers than the Mini Beryl carbine.

^ Mini B's appeared in 1st. PSK for testing, yet most of shooters found them, just as Remov said, too inacurate, easily overheating, thus lacking expected versatility - and turned them back in effect (1st. PSK covers more "green side" tactics, where the effective range plays vital part). Popular opinion is to put more focus on improving ergonomics (especially telescoping buttstock, fire mode selector, safety, mag release, P-rails) than fool with barrel lenght.

But it may be worth noting, that Mini Beryls came into a more widespread use in Polish Forces since the newly formed Special MP detachments have them as their standard assault weapon, plus they have been widely introduced some half year ago to the 18th Airborne Batt. as a standard weapon for CSW's operators who had only SMG's before for self defense.
