BTW...I am glad no one was injured but I think that the f18 took some damage...

I think the body next to the right wing of the aircraft disputes your theory that no one was injured!

That hurt to watch... super lucky that cable caught, didn't snap and that he didn't hit the parked aircraft or any personnel.

If he (or she) had missed that cable, that whole front deck would have be been a real mess.....very, very lucky.

Looks like he tried to correct or something at the last second and landed on one wheel, maybe he was fighting the wind? I don't know a lot about carrier ops.
