May be a re-post, but searched and couldent find anything, new M60E4 1.45 minutes of firing with one trigger pull. Blew my mind after working with the minimi and having stoppages every 50-100 rounds.

Maybe you had some old, tired Minimi's. I've experienced the same thing. Seems the 7.62 guns have better longevity/lifespan after a buncha rounds, due to beefier parts.

Cool but I never had a problem with the SAW when I was a SAW gunner. Only problem was shooting blanks but that's normal.

Yes, it's been posted quite a lot... And I'm rather lost why correct mechanical function inspires awe p-)

You could probably do this with most machine guns. If it did this after filling it with sand and water, I'd be more impressed.

Here is another video, even more impressive: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cG1Qz8Iivug&mode=related&search
^And this is after the M60E4 had already fired 2 belts of 850 rounds continuosly without any malfunctions.
Better sound, and good close-up of the M60E4

These were absolute whoreguns. THousands of rounds a day on the range for fam fires, with not a helluva lot of extra care given to them. Probably osme original ones from after 1994 or whenever the Army bought up a bunch.

Not denying it. Just the SAW I was issued I had no problems. I have seen plenty of SAWs that had to be replace.
I Plt. Sargent made sure that shat was spick and span everytime we cleaned it.
