That doenst sound like a manual, more than a book for children, perhabs it was used in the Hitlerjugend.

Oh and if you want a certain passage translated, just say it :)

Not its the official manual (for the crew soldiers), and the best military manual I read ever. Not the usual dry humorless manuals written by remfs you never read anyway.

A unique attempt which shows the progressive thinking of Guderian and the willing to go unusual ways, not strictly by the book.

Btw, just type "Tigerfibel" in google and you find many links with the full book. There is a Panther fibel out there too.

Every manual was written like that. That made shure, that everyone was able to understand it.

It's simple and usefull, that's great.

Dry, long manuals are boring. Short, sweet, and funny would usually ensure people actually bothered to read it and digest the info.

Also, especially in conscript armies where everyone gets taken in, you've got to cater for the lowest common denominator, i.e total idiots.

Didn't the US Army do something for the M16 in Vietnam?

Yes, they did. Most armies have instructional stuff like this in a cartoon format. The pamphlet "Kit!" from the British Army is a prime example. It ensures that folk will actually read it rather than fob it off as long winded crap.

This Tiger manual is excellent stuff.
