Interesting pictures, especially the one w/ President Bush and the Army soldier w/ prosthetic limbs, both jogging.

nice pics, shame about the music.....
Yeah that got annoying after a minute or so. The 2005 slide show with Like a Rock was more inspiring than this. :|

Pics were interesting, but have to agree that the song blows. It's more depressing than inspiring.

What's depressing is the faggot pastel pajama ACU's. We've been wearing that garbage for a year now and the rest of the world is asking, "WTF were they thinking?" It's embarrassing when even civilians shake their heads in pity.

bdu's sucked ass, every country has them, even the air force has them, you would think as good as the air force thinks they are, with all their high tech **** they come up with a uniform for themselves...
getting them dio-tized, shinning those black boots, i used floor wax myself.....
my acu's are my pj's... i love'm... no more of that silly garrison crap....
if people didnt like the acu's they wouldnt go out and buy all the gear in acu, like mag pouches, holsters, camelbacks, bug out bags, etc. etc. etc....
as for the civi's, they had no idea what to think of the acu's they only saw marines with digi cams, the unit we replaced wore dcu's, the civis never seen our digi's before, kinda scared them....

I'm refering to AMERICAN civilians.
Comfort is the only aspect that has been improved over the BDU/DCU.
When it was fielded, we were told that it's "universal", effective in all environments, perfect in none. Now that we know it universally stands out in all environments(except a graveled FOB), we're told that camouflage is outdated on the modern battlefield and the purpose of the ACU is easy identification, reducing the "fog of war" and fratricide.
They did a 180 to make the failure seem that's what they intended all along.
Every organization cycles back and forth between caring about its people and caring about itself. The Army currently has swung all the way to the latter pole.
I worry about an Army that cares more about easy logistics as opposed to soldier survivability.

as for our civi's caring what uni we wear, i dont really know what to say...
when we got our acu's (may-june 05) we were told they would come out with a woodland just like the marines did, the acu is easy to wear and clean, the army has figured that part out...

I don't know, but I rather have a uniform that works then feeling 'comfy'.

im sure that the army will come out with new colors sooner or later...most likely multicam. BTW that music does suck.
I thought the Army chose the ACU over Multicam.
Multicam looks more effective, but I guess the ACU is cheaper.

Song was,eh. Pictures were nice. Anybody notice the female soldier in #22 named, Baez, like the anti-war folk-singer?
