Kind of sad though that you needed to be guarded and certain people couldn't keep their (horrible) opinions to themselves. Hopefully it will get better... one day.

That's right Javehn:)
I guess they served You some fast food ****, Uouo.
Next time-try some REAL Polish food:)

As for police protection-I saw Jewish group of people in the Six Flags Great Adenture park (Jackson, close to NY) once and I was shocked by that army of heavily armed policemen with automatic weapons and dogs their brought with them.
Is it really necessary?

And don't pay attention to some stupid kids UoUo-they're just kids and they know **** about Nazis. They're just teenagers.

MolliG:
Like I said in previous post-I've seen heavily guarded group of Israeli kids in the USA (Six Flags Park, next to the NY city). They were dozens of policemen with shotguns and M4s. They had dogs and looked pretty hardcore. I was really surprised to see it. What were they afraid of? I don't know. I guess that's "standard procedure". I think they would act this way in UK as well.

And one more think-I saw them BEFORE 9.11.2001.

Hmmm, pizza in Krakow market is rather food in Poland than polish food. :D

If you want to know how tastes polish food you have to meet the polish girl's grandmother rather then girl herself. IMHO. ;)

It's nice that you enjoyed Poland.

And about security - because I'm working near old ghetto (in Warsaw) location i have many occasions to observe a "trips from Israel".

And as far I haven't seen armed and uniformed polish policeman in security role. Just a few "sad guys" from Israel.

Shalom

I had my trip to Poland 11 years ago... (I'm getting old)

Yeah, it was shocking and yeah the food was bad - although I'm used to it cause my mother is fromPoland/Russia. Thing is that we ate only in the hotels and we got "special" deals and thats why it was bad.

Back then there were many signs of "white power" all over the place (not that we minded - we had our own Shabak guy who guarded us)

So....where are your pics? maybe I'll scan some of mine.. (cause I didn't have a digital camera back then...you know...middle ages etc)
