Correct, the book is "Killer Elite". I tried to read it, got half way through, and decided it was way too heavy on Politics and some unheard of specialist group ("The Firm"? or something like that?). As mentioned, very "Tom Clancy" style.

Anyway, I think the front cover is a) photoshopped, b) nothing to directly do with the books content.

and for the SAS counterpart Andy Mc Nab, Cameron Spence, Chris Ryan, oh and there are many more.... they make a good read.
Though I like Tom Clancy (for the GR game series) I don't like his books, too much bla bla... and real SF dont do bla bla.....
I like to read how their ops go not which weapons they carry how much lead they produce and what damage they do..... all the time. The British Autors tend not to overdo their descriptions, and especially the books of Chris Ryan and Andy mc Nab give a good read about what happened in Irak, they bothe tell different sides of the storie and where one author tells more about the raids, the other tells more about their way of keeping their presence hidden.....

Well I believe some books are full of.... both Ryan and Mc Nab wrote books in non fiction, the books about the happenings in Irak I believe give a good story, and with both books disagreeing on certain happenings you can read between the lines.
Off course I don't blieve all I read, and for sure If real details would be given those books wouldn't be made public at all.
But its natural for Military books to overdo the happenings a bit...... look at the reports about WOII or the serbs telling about how many Nato aircraft they downed.......
I just love reading those books.... now I'm reading a non fictional story about afghanistan, nice to see stuff about the province the Dutch are operating in now.... and that book was written by a journalist, so he knows a bit but not all.......
