For fun, I thought it would be cool to post pics of girls (attractive girls, of course :D) with guns...

I'll start it off. I just had these pictures on my hard drive, so if one belongs to you let me know and i'll give credit where it is due. I only have 3, at the moment.

http://www.users.qwest.net/~mike_gregory/girlswithguns/1432.jpg

I think we all know where this one came from.... This is by far my favourite picture. I find her over-whelmingly attractive for some reason, not sure why though... ;)

Does it matter?

Either way, I know there are cute girls that shoot... There is one that goes to my local range I see every few weeks.

So anyone have any pics?

Holy ****e ikurinturbiini, that was funny as hell!

I like chicks, and I like guns, but not together. Maybe if I was teaching my girlfriend or wife to shoot, but ehh... kinda get mad when I see incorrect shooting stance, even though they can't help it. Not that I'm perfect, but I don't have a nicely-curved body....

"I'd let her occupy my country anyday!" Hell yeah, awesome quote. rofl

Having seen the pic of the girl with the pintle-mounted M82, I thought I'd have to go one better and post this pic of my wife (only 4'10") firing a British Boyes .55 Anti-tank rifle.

http://www.btinternet.com/~robdw/avril_55_boys.jpg

The Boyes round is considerably larger than the .50BMG and packs one hell of a wallop at both ends. This was the final shoot prior to govenment enforced de-activation.

I fired this weapon quite a lot and felt that it could have been quite a good long-range sniper tool, however owing to the top-mounted box mag and bolt-action, fitting a scope would have been very difficult. It grouped well within 2 MOA at 300 yds. - surely not bad for a weapon of its size and vintage. I'd have loved to have been able to explore the possibilities of hand-loading and decent sights on this weapon.

For a reason i think, cause there have been cases in which the guy standing next to you when you fire starts bleeding form his ears.... (well not actually but......) It can damage the next guys hearing, but when its mounted like he, the blast and noise (well most of it...) travels up and down, and not to your left and right...

I hate muzzle brakes! One day on the range, I was shooting an AR-10 with a brake. A guy came up & asked if his firing of a .44 mag would bother me because of the blast. I said no, but he might not like the blast of my rifle. He smirked & started shooting next to me. I only fired a couple of rounds before he got up & moved away.

The AK74 brakes are proberly the most freindly brakes out there and as far as peoples ears bleeding I don't think so, now maybe my AR brake would cause you problems.
I have first hand experience here as I have the 74 brake on my AK47.

My RK:s blank firing device directs the noise and blast just like AK-74:s muzzle brake, directly to the sides, and ive been "hit" by that when guy next to me fired. It really hrt, and my ears rang for some time. Also others i know have had to see doctor because of these "accidents" with RK:s blank firing device.

Futhermore:

The most obvious change is in the addition of a muzzle brake, designed to divert some of the ejected gasses sideways and upwards to counter recoil and upward climb during automatic fire. In this it appers to be very successful, since numbers of tests have shown that the rifle can be controlled quite well when firing automatic, the recoil force having been reduced to a level approximately that of a .22 rimfire sporting rifle. Unfortenately, muzzle brakes are two-edged sword, they make life easier for the shooter, but they make life difficult for the men next to him, diverting the muzzle blast sideways, and Soviet medical publications have printed one or two articles on the dangers of ear damage on firing ranges with the new rifle.

Any rifle can cause hearing damage when used. That's why health and safety regulations mean you have to wear hearing protection on military ranges :cantbeli:

Ask any one who used the L1A1 (if they can hear you ;) )...

Geezah,

Blank firing was during war games, its no like we use MILES with live ammo.. ;)

Also, with these "accidents"......... no, i was not nor was any of my mates to whom this has happened been using ear-protection at that time...

And why is that cause with blanks the noise that youll get from your own weapon is very mild, but the next guys weapon.... well from that the noise is hellish, and can cause damaga like i told.......

But with live rounds we usually used ear-protection as with those the noise is even to the shooter that much louder.....

But when shooting with live ammo (without the blank firing device of course......) there is almost no danger to the by standers, as the weapon the has only a regular "fork type of flash hider" which basicly directs all the noise / blast / gasses to the front only.

http://www.moneypit.net/~bhinton/Valmet/Valmet_BFA_62_w.Flash_hider.jpg
Flash hider, and blank firing device.

Anyone firing without a clear range is bad. But anyone wandering up and down a range where people are firing weapons who doesn't have hearing protection themselves... do you blame the muzzle brake or those who are not wearing hearing protection. (worst case scenario just stick your fingers in your ears and after two shots have been fired stick them in your ears...)

Ear damage cases that ive witnessed, happened in woods.... mostly when firing from foxholes (which were side by side..) with people not having the time to "put on" the "ear protectors"....... ;)

But on firing range, with or without ear protoction ive never seen or heard of this happening.... (due the fact that flash hider unlike the "blank firing device" and AK-74 type muzzle brake directs the blast and noise forwards...)

The clear cause of those ear damages was the "blank firng device" which diverts the blast and noise just like the AK-74 actual muzzle brake and the flash hider of Valmet / SAKO weapons of course doesnt do this, like i said..... (so no ear damage cases.....)

In fact, the problems with the "blank firing device" of which i posted a picture of, resulted in military a demand for new type of "blank firing device" for "new" SAKO M/95 assault rifles.. (7.62 RK 95 TP......) which unlike the previous design directs the blast and noise forwards and not sideways......

;)

Uninen
04-23-2004, 06:35 AM
And ultimate point:

Flash hiders, muzzle brakes and "blank firing devices" that divert the blast and noise directly sideways are proven to be unsatisfactry and unhealthy solution. :)

I am not sure if you are referring to this pic
http://www.mahal2000.com/information/background/women.jpg

but just so you know there is no two "machsaniots" there nor is that a L coupler for two.

It is just one magazine in the pic. There is no “machsanit” in the weapon here!!

I couldn’t find a pic of just this piece so I found this pic here of it with a magazine in the weapon and you can see how it works.

Ok look at this pic again.

http://www.isayeret.com/sniping/dm-ct.jpg

the machsanit is in the weapon now and you can see a black thing that is attached sticking out to the side.

Now imagine the soldier taking out the magazine and switching that black thing from the side it is in now to the other side and then turning the black thing upwards as it is magazine itself and then insert it in the weapon and it clicks in and then it looks like the picture that you brought with the two girls….

Like here.
