terrible situation...the UN dropped the ball big time on this...just goes to show how ineffective of an Institution it is. (as well as Iraq, North Korea, Iran, etc)

That is a bit short of the truth. For an UN deployment you need the approval of the local governement, and that is not there.......
To go in with almost all groups facing you would bring a big war to the region, and the refugees wouldn't be helped with that.
I'd send in special forces to bring the governement and the rebels to justice..... but special forces have a lot to do lately.

give me a break, there are tons of similar conflicts in africa, but in this case its arab speaking muslim africans against non-arab speaking african muslim and the must mean that all muslim arabs are evil.
