(towards the bottom)

is it possible to identify that he's UKSF from the gear / clothing?
what sort of assault rifle is that? m4 cqb? c8 cqb? what sort of scope?

cheers

Probably a airsofter mate.

I wouldn't call it airsofter, taken from the context that the photos on that site appear to be real soldiers and operators in the field.

I reckon it is SASR on attachment to the 22SAS down south in Iraq.

The auscam tape is my reasoning , as spotted by the dude above^

As well as the fact that the kit is from SORD on their website, although I'm slightly puzzled that they wouldn't know the facts behind the photo and call him SASR instead of UKSF.

Auscam tape and what looks to be SORD gear... could just as easily be a brit or kiwi who has spent some time downunder.

Looks legit, a lot of airsofters cover themselves with patches, too many pouches, etc.

nevermind, NONTK.

Another piece of random speculation: it's a UKSF issue weapon and scope so it could well be an Antipodean on attachment or it could be a Brit who's scrounged/liberated some Auscam tape from somewhere.

Or something else entirely! :D

Chances are, we'll never know.

Check you weapon identification - that is not an L119A1 (Diemaco C8SFW).

Agreed DW58 it's not an L119A1 but it's possibly the CQB variant which was seen in the media not so long ago (also with TA01s fitted) which is why I suggested it was a UKSF issue weapon/sight combo.

As I said, random speculation on my part (I don't claim any particular knowledge here).

Edit: Looks like it's got something like a LAM fitted to it too - I can't tell for sure, my monitor's too dark - I don't know much about airsoft but would someone fit one of those to their gear? (I honestly dunno?)

Interesting radio - it looks different to the PRR that I've used, but then I'm not genned up with what SF get. Funny place to put it - on his right shoulder, so might interfere with butt placement. He's not left handed either. Just an observation.

Not sure if this would help. Not sure what unit this guy's from but looks to have the same type of weapon and radio. I would assume he's British as well.

The comms radio your looking at is a CT5 tactical Mic often used by UKSF and select UK police units. The first picture in my opinion is an real operator not an airsofter. They are not generally available but are a lovely bit of kit.

my £1.50 on the subject

Sorry if I am bring back a dead threat here but I take it the guy in the photo I attached is UKSF to, do they normally look after the PM or is the guy in the photo RMP CPU ? Or another unit.

RMP CP out of Longmoor for the guy in Black

As for the original pic, looks like it's very possibly Iraq, that looks like Antennae and shyt behind him, the stucco on the wall looks consistent with stuff I've seen, the weapon......could very well have been a contractors, and this guys is a "Monkey"....

I'm not sure why someone in UKSF would wear a shiny watch either, most of the guys I've seen wear Casio G Shocks, and they're also not in the habit of wearing Rank badges, or any other Insignia on their Combats
