Nice video!p-)
My dumb question of the night is...About half way through there is a trooper reloading and firing a vehicle mounted MG3 which appears to be using non-disintegrating link , would that be to allow for ease of reloading MG belts in the field?
Tracers do create a hell of a lightshow. Keep at it danes :D

Short: Yes...
It's the only type of belt we have for the MG3 and it is easy too reload...p-)

That was a very interesting video. I know this has probably been answered before, but do the Dutch have different rules regarding grooming? A couple of those guys had some shaggy faces.

They are Danes, and I think on deployment they have to worry about other stuff than about the grooming regulations.
Danes not Dutch. But UK and Netherlands (and maybe Denmark) do not have a strict policy regarding facial hair in Afghanistan. Having a beard commands respect or something like that. Normally it is not allowed.

Talk about overwhelming firepower and the MG3 is nuts! Now I know why people hated the MG42.

Danish... Sorry - I don't understand the language and all I remembered from the first post was the country started w/ a "D" (embarrassed)
So the U.S. / Canadian have less to worry about?
I know that facial hair commands respect but that it something that is usually kept for the SOC soldiers.

Many UK and Canadian troops grow beards, as the local populace will be more likely to respect a man with a beard. This isn't something that should be 'left to SOC', as every soldier will come into contact with the locals.
I find it odd that the US forces are so strict about having 'dry' camps to respect the Islamic view on alcohol, but won't let it's regular troops wear beards if they choose to, knowing that it helps break down the cultural barriers. Especially since I've seen boatloads of pissed and stoned muslims, but very few without beards!

heres a little translation i made
00:00 -: We have to do it before last light. While they do that, we are pushing west so we can see directly down on turquoise-blu, correction turquoise-4 and red-5. And you are gonna be in charge.
00:15 -: Ok. Im moving 1 up, and stays on the corner, and then Myself and 3 and 6 over here.
00:22 Speech -: It's now almost 5 hours since the danes started moving towards Dahaneh. Now they are moving in.
00:27 -: The team is on their way to the compound, so all unrelevant talk on the radio seizes now.
00:36 -: I dont know if we got planes in the air, but 5-5 is being pulled up so she can replace some of 1-5's vehicles.
00:42 Radio -: Be ready to open fire against anyting that appears hostile. Over.
00:48 Radio -: Detonating!
00:54 Radio -: We are going up on a roof.
00:57 Radio -: This is 6. The people from the market are running into the compound to the left. Over.
01:04 Speech -: There are no weapons in the first compound, but the danes intrusion have sparked alot of activity in compound just next door.
01:12 Radio -: In the compound to left from where we are entering - there are 3 men hiding. Over
01:21 Speech -: Until now, the danish soldier have not meet any enemies. But suddenly the invisible border is passed.
01:33 -: Pull back - so you get some height. Pull back - so you get some height.
01:37 Radio -: Be advised, we got someone on the roof. Over.
01:44 -: move it!, move it!
01:48 Radio -: Status?
01:49 -: this is 0, we are taking fire from 7 edge, from the compound where they did the house search.
02:03 -: What you hear in the air, the bangs, it's incoming rounds.
02:06 -: i'll take it from in here.
02:13 Radio -: head north and go in position on my left flank.
02:30 -: We have to line up with those vehicles!
02:32 -: move it.
02:33 -: 2 secs!
02:36 -: ok, we are moving.
02:37 -: Roger!
02:39 -: Drive!
02:40 Radio -: This is 7, there are mortar impacts very close to us, very close to us!
02:45 Speech -: From well hidden positions in the village, the Taliban are responding to the danish intrusion, with small arms, rpg, and mortar fire.
The danes repositions themself a little back and and return the fire.
02: 59 -: incomming fire!
03:00 -: From where?
03:00 -: Left!
03:10 -: it's our own mortars, dont worry!
03:14 -: it's our own mortars!
03:15 -: ok, got it!
03:22 -: Adjust, adjust, adjust.
03:24 -: A little up.
03:26 -: Thats it!
03:35 Radio -: 4-2, we are moving. Over.
03:39 Radio -: We are staying in position. We are awaiting the planes.
End.
03:43 Speech -: After a half hours non stop battle, the firing stops as suddenly as it started. The damage can be asesed.
03:51 Radio -: I have one wounded, non critical. some of our own mortars where to... there are traces of fragments in the face, but other then that,
ok.
the rest of the clip the soldiers talk a little about the fight and then mark a target for an airstrike.

I have been told (second hand info) that this was the start of a 3 day long battle, that only ended when the Danish unit was forced to withdraw, together with the british marines in the area, after bad weather prevented close air support and the use of medivac if needed.

Great video!
Gives you a glimpse of the difference in professionalism between the American and Danish troops.
You won't see any danes yell "Woohoo!" or "F@ck yeah!" once the bombs start to drop.

the danes havent lost a sh*tload of people in iraq and afghanistan.. i think that you would react with a bit more passion if you had lost a thousand of your fellow soldiers

Let's not get into a competition about who has most casualties or whether SEALs or DELTAs are the best. "WooHoo" and "**** yeah" is a perfectly natural reaction to dropping a bomb on your enemy's positions. Great editing as always Duder.
