Basically you're right n.ingomo, but president Bush is only a political not a religious leader. When he or any eother politician refers to God in his speeches its up to his own crediblity and expression. There we have religious leader, always refering to "God's Will" in his speaches and actions - what would you say if Dalaylama or Pope would start to promice heaven and salvation as a reward of a terrorist and cowardly act? You can of course refer to Crusades or so - but I wish everyone to notice that's not XIII century we're living in... although these bearded fookers seem to think and act so...

I don't consider those who preach violence, suicide attacks or otherwise promote an encitement to violence as a 'holy' person or 'spiritual leader'.

Our nation is founded on values. 'In God we trust' is printed and minted on all of our currency. References to Faith is nonetheless separate to using religion as a justification for political and social action.

Its not about respect for the fallen, I think the display of the flag draped coffin does just that.... it is about the sanitized version of war that the public is being shown..... war has casualties, the product of this foreign policy is coffins,

Regardless of which war is being fought and where, there will be casualties on both sides. The end product of the war should not be hidden from the publics eyes. In the case of this argument I believe the united states department involved here has no right, not to let images of brave soldiers be displayed. May we always understand the costs and sacrifices.

lest we never forget.

This is what I love about America. You don't have to be a White Anglo-Saxon Prodestant (WASP) to love & fight for your country.

He might have a funny sounding name, eat strange looking food and he doesn't look like Bob from down the road, but when called, he fights for the country he believes in and unfortunately makes the supreme sacrifice. Just like Australia, the US is a land of Immigrants who make an important contribution to the country & the nations defence.

RIP :(

WAW !! WTF is that ? Targeting mosques is not very good idea ...
With all do respect to US troops , and there is big respect , we would never target mosque , and if we do , entire world would jump on us . Why is it going on there ?

Could be some sort of hullmounted sonar.

Javehn: As far as I know, they were being fired upon from the mosque.
So the insurgents brought the battle there, not the US.
If some ****ers decide to hole up ioni a mosque, and
attack from it, you better belive that they will see some
incoming fire.

Its called war. If there are enemy targets in it then its open game. If you would have read the caption it says there were insurgent snipers in the building.

In fact it is easy to make a Statement there were Snipers or something on it, but isnt it logical to take them out by a Sniper and not with a Missile?
Mistakes like that will make the US loosing that War....

I used to remain silent in such cases but I can't stand it any more. You don't like the US, do you? But that's your own personal problem.
