Chinese Blackhawks.
Most of them can no longer fly due to the lack of spare parts.
Isn't the first one an ADF S-70?

The chinese have a wonderful variety of helicopters. Z-8 (License built SA-321 Super Frelon), Z-9 (license built Dauphin), Z-11 (License built Ecureuil), S-70 Blackhawk, Mi-17 Hip, EC-120 Colibri, Z-10 (local development with Eurocopter assistance), Puma/Super Puma (few for VIP transport duties), Kamov Ka-28, SA-342L Gazelle...

The PLA bought them in the eighties when the relations with the US were good, but soured after 1989. Reportedly they were able to get spares even after the US arms embargo was imposed, to maintain airworthy examples of the type for use in SAR and humanitarian/disaster relief missions.

Exactly, they were bought during 80s when US and Chinese relations were more then good...
During that time US and Europeans cooperated on various Chinese military programs(for example USA- Super7, J-8 modernization using An/APG -66 radar, gas turbines for type052 destroyers; French- various helicopters, Crotale(HQ-7), radars and sonars; Italians - Apside missile tech etc.)...
After Tiananmen Square protests most of this programs were scraped thanks to western arms embargo...

Most of my info comes from the same site Plato mentions n his simultaneous post, plus another now defunct site.
According to SinoDefence the Chinese are not only replacing the S-70 with the Mi-17, but they are beginning the development of another transport helicopter alongg with Eurocopter.

The EC-175 is more oriented towards the civilian market, though.
Will be comparable to the AW139/AW149 in size, weights and performance, filling the gap between the EC-155 and the EC-225.

IIRC military applications are under consideration.

Yup, as with the AW139 (the AW149 being the military variant).
Though, it remains a mainly civilian development programme. I doubt that it will see large scale military service, as its an intermediate size in between the smaller liaison helicopters and the size category of utility helicopters beginning to be useful for troop and cargo transport missions (or in other words, too large for liaison missions and to small for being suitable as a utility helicopter).

I won't disagree with that. Given the current trend on the size of utility helicopters, qv NH-90, Cougar, Mi-17, etc. But still, there is room for a light utility type in many militaries.

IMHO, there is a need for an intermediate design mainly for two purposes:
shipborne naval helicopters for platforms usually too small to carry the navalized variant of the army's utility helicopter (e.g. the Lynx or the Dauphin)
- and -
peacetime utility missions for which a utility helicopter is required, but the frontline service model is too large and therefore to costly to operate (e.g. the US LUH programme)

I believe that you and I are thinking along the same lines. ;)

Why do the Chinese even have Blackhawks ?
We sold around 20 to China in the 80's, but after the Tiananmen thing, we decided to sanction them, so no spares for them.
