HK416 in Iraq? new pics

scaned these from a book i have
look at the gas block, its not the standard M4 SOPMOD gasblock
and looks like a 11.5' barrel.

the gasblock looks similar to the one on a early version of the hk 416 (seen on HKPRO)

I wouldn't know about the 416, but those are some cool pics. The black boxes over their mouths sure don't do much for PERSEC. Were they like that in the book or did you add the black?

They probably wanted to make sure you could see their cool guy shades. We totally know they were in a real stack in broad daylight without mich helmets.

These were posted a while ago.. Not likely HK416s but 11.5" uppers with railed gas blocks as others have stated.

Yeah he's ****ing old. Probably some sort of group commander maybe. I remember I was in a cab at Ft.Benning with some old ass SF guy. Not sure if he was still SF, but he was some officer type that was with that group over in Okinawa.

yea..i wasnt aware that certain units can buy non standard gasblocks..and it looked like the one used on the prototype hk's

You could do that **** in a leg unit. Accessorizing weapons is pretty ****ing lax especially if you're willing to pay.

There not JP gas blocks but are very similar without the gas adjustment screw.

Also, I always thought people worried about PERSEC who didn't block out the WHOLE face was just silly and more preocupied with looking cool OMGFd3!7a than actually being worried about security. Gotta show off those sunglasses you know. p-)

I was going to go for a railed gasblock setup but was told that heat from the barrel will shift your front sight. So I stuck with the standard pinned fsb.
