Well I've been working a new job over the past week or so, its pretty cool. The works easy and isnt to hard to do. The thing is I have 5 dudes to answer to if something goes wrong. So having 5 people to answer too they invision the way you do things "there way" and having 5 people trying to get you to do 1 thing "there way" is often stressfull as hell on me.
So basically in laymans terms I have a problem of having "more Chief's then Indians", and today it got to the point of me almost quiting on the spot and leaving. I told the boss (the owner) how I felt, and the rest of the day went so smooth it was great.

So I'd like to hear other people's pet peeves at work, I know I also hate to have someone "watch over my shoulder" as I am doing something. That drives me nuts and slows me down...I'm really interested to see what bothers others so feel free to post :P

I hate the fact that my boss leaves me alone for long periods of time, as long as my work gets done, which allows me to browse the forums at will. It also allows me to photoshop the occasional pic and have all sorts of fun with you all.

Thats odd, it bothers the hell outta me when my boss always comes and disturbs me during work.

As long as he doesnt see me bead blasting car engine parts during work hours its all good :D

Yeah being left alone for long periods of time sucks...

Yesterday i was working at Wal-mart (temporairly) and i was asked to cover about 8 huge skids (wood square things) outside with 2 giant tarps. so after finnally placing these tarps on perfectly, these employee's come out from the Auto dept. and there like " were going to have to get you to move those skids becuase we need to get some merchandise from the bin behind them." So then I had to move all the skids and tarps and stuff. What a pain in the ass.

I have the option to work at home if I wish, thanks to high speed internet. I love my job.

I never thought anyone's job would actually be surfing these forums.

I like my job... it's really easy and fun and I get to meet lots of new people. It'd be better if some of the staff members weren't so stupid, but that's another topic...

Point is, I never thought I would enjoy waitressing, but I do.

Well...my job is rather borring. I work 4-midnight on Mon, Tues, Thus, Fri and then i work 11am-6pm on saturdays. When i work nights, by 7 there are very few people left in the store.

by 7:30 we have 1 front end manager, 5 cashiers, a maintence guy, a cart pusher, 1 guy in Deli and Meat, 1 Guy in Bakery, 1 Guy in Produce, 1 guy in grocery and one guy in fish. We have cashiers working all night, usually 1 or 2. Our night maintence guy leaves at 9:30, and overnight maintence crew comes in at 11 to buff the floors. 2 guys have to mop the whole store. All the departments are closed by 8,so if people need help there as night manager its my job to provide them with customer assistance. The cart guy leaves at 10. So there are very few people around to talk too. But there are also alot less customers, which means i can get alot more stuff done in terms of schedules and reports and stuff. I also spend about an hour in the security room too. Also, another bad thing is the pay. Its not great, but its enough. Also, there is alot of "he-says-she-says bull****" but i guess you get that anywhere where you have a bunch of kids working anda bunch of nosey old ladies. The good things are the fact that i have run of the store when i work durring the week because by that time im the only manager. On saturdays though there is one guy above me. Another plus, hes really cool. And most importantly, i met my wonderful girlfriend Jenny at this store.

Texas is kind of a long drive for dinner, don't you think?

I hope you're all 15-18 year olds because I'd absolutely kill myself if I worked at grocery store.
