AFAIK they considered the use of Zvezda K-36, for Raptor and JSF.
Anyway from the info available (written, TV aso) momentarily there`s no match for Zvezda`s seats. :)

I know some Russian seats have a screen that pops up to protect the pilot from the blast of air when he leave the cockpit.

US seats still have the face screen handle (not actually a screen, but on MB seats it's still called a face screen). Martin Baker seats used to have a seat Pan handle and a face screen. However this gave pilots a choice, which is bad when you don't have time to choose. Now MB seats only have a seat pan handle, as it's easier to reach, especially if pulling G.

Rumor also has it that they have the seat pan cause if you're about to crash, or get hurt guys are most likely to reach for their groin.....

"Development, history, and evolution of ejection seats" and they don't even mention what the first production-airplane with ejection seats was and who made the first successful ejection ?

The german company Argus already did successful ejections with their seats (while in air) in Januar 1943. The second successful ejection was also in Germany by a test-pilot of Junkers, also in 1943. (3 years before the first successful test by Martin Baker.)

The first production Airplane with ejection seats was the He219. (60 Crewmen saved their lives during WW2 thanks to the ejection seat.)

F-22 uses an improved version of the venerable ACES II seat.

Made by Boeing/BF Goodrich. Yep that's Russian alright.

K-36 was considered early in the F-22 program

Oh shyte! It's one of the best parts ..
It's called the Deutsches Museum (http://www.deutsches-museum.de/en/information/) and can take a while to see ..
:)

The seat is at the Aeronautics Hall (http://www.deutsches-museum.de/en/exhibitions/verkehr/aeronautics/jets-and-helicopters), but the fuselage is at the National Air & Space Museum, Steven Udvar-Hazy Center, along with another magnificent specimen with ejection seat awaiting restoration, the Go229 (http://ipmsstockholm.org/magazine/1999/02/stuff_eng_detail_hoix.htm) at Garber Restoration Facility- Silver Hill, MD ..

Cheers for the info on the German seats. I've only been taught about the seats the RAF use.
