It just seems that they are far more moderate, focused on success and self motivated to create a society than the rest of the Iraqis.

That's the problem. It needs to be represenative of the population, Kurdish, Sunni, and Shiite.

The prevelance of racism in their society is the only thing that merits a balance in ethnic representation.

Sure, ideally. But the Sunni and Shiites top priority seems to be killing each other, and/or positioning themselves to destroy each other once the MNF leaves.

On the other hand, the Kurds are interested in educating themselves, building infrastructure, and creating progress.

Talk to anyone who is deployed in Kurdish territory, they will tell you how great they are.
