Im really into ww2 weapons and im thinkin that an M1 carbine would be a pretty cool xmas present this year. I checked out several sites and was just wondering where would be a good place to look. Im lookin for any gun shows cause i know thats a good place too look also. Any advise from you ww2 collectors would be appreciated.

Don't buy a universal or other off brand type. They will most likely be crap.

These things are getiing harder and garder to come buy.
Have you considered a Garand?
Less money, and a better rifle.

Tried eBay?
You might be able to pick up an authentic weapon there... expensive though I'm guessing.

You cant sell working guns on ebay. From what i see a Garands are much more money. Im also considering a Kar98. This will be my first ww2 gun so im lookin for somthing not extremely expensive.

I also dont want anything thats modified. Like with a scope mount or anything like that on it. I want the original look.

If you're looking for a WW2 weapon i'd suggest starting with the K98 or a Mosin Nagant since there are a hell of alot of them out there, and they probably won't cost as much as a an M1 carbine or an M1 Garand.
I'd really like to start collecting WW2 firearms to, but norwegian gunlaws make it hard to become a collector and you can't own military style automatic weapons like the garand and carbine.

I am actually considering building one. Ive got an uncle who builds and repairs guns for a living. It would take allot of work and planning.
