Apologies if this has already been discussed, but I couldn't find it in a general search.

I was walking through Blockbuster Video, and noticed a new release film called "Blood of my Brother" about a Iraqi guy who wants to avenge his brother's death (he was shot by US forces) and then he goes on an insurgency spree ambushing US troops and so forth.
Thats the general idea from what I read on the back cover.

Frankly, I'm a bit surprised that this was released in the US. Doesn't this constitute as Insurgency/terrorist propaganda or "trophy" film?? Has anyone watched it?

Well, seems like interesting stuff. Unfortunately the "trailer" is just video of a well known event where the locals were chanting and facing off with some Iraqi police/army and someone fired a shot. That set off everyone with a gun and left quite a few people without shoes and some dead. It's not clear if this is supposed to be a documentary or purely fiction that takes its start from a real world event. The included clips don't show/say much. Might be interesting though.

i saw it a few months ago. It really focuses on him and his family after his brothers death.

wasn't that good.

not sure about it being propaganda.

I have this documentary.. I found it was disappointing as well.. The back cover made it seem like he joined the insurgency but that wasnt really the case..

I also own this documentary, and agree that the videos description is a bit missleading. If you can get past that, however, there is a story to be told.

Definitely propaganda disguised in a pity the poor Iraqi story. It sucked to boot.
