Le Caporal Mario Paquet de l'Elément de Soutien National (ESN) observe un point de controle d'entrée au champs de tir 5b pendant l'exercice Réflexe Rapide à Fort Bliss au Texas. L’Exercice Réflexe Rapide, qui se déroule à Fort Bliss au Texas (Etats-Unis) du 28 janv au 27 fév 07, constitue une étape importante dans la montée en puissance de la Force Opérationnelle (FO) 03-07. Cet exercice permet aux différentes composantes de s’entraîner dans un contexte interarmes et possiblement combiné dans un environnement similaire à celui de Kandahar (Afghanistan).

Can somebody please once and for all explain me the ergonomic sence in this kind of stock, because I realy failed to figure out, how possibly it can be comfortable.
I think the purpose of the short stock is to utilize the SAW effectively while driving inside an enclosed vehicle.

When the buttstock is fully extended it rotates 90 degrees so that it is vertical.

Actually he is paratrooper in IDF and the reason why it confuses him, that's because in IDF the parachute jumps (in para anyway) are only from planes and the choppers are used to land the forces in the "convential" way.

Of course in real operations jumping from a chopper doesnt make any sense, but it has advantages for training.

Can somebody please once and for all explain me the ergonomic sence in this kind of stock, because I realy failed to figure out, how possibly it can be comfortable.
You pull and rotate the stock so it comes in the "right" position, it is possible to "lock" it in intermediary position, but I guess it wasn't designed for that.
