Wracking cough still...with the need to do physical work. I really f*cking hate hospitals, almost to the point of phobia. Its good to be out. I feel like a marshmellow though. Its amazing what two solid weeks on NO activity can do to a person.

Oh yeah, and while I was out of the picture, my pop got a Springfield 1903A4 (no iron sights with falt rail and scope). This thing is super sexy. My uncle just GAVE it to him over Easter while he was visiting. It is in nearly perfect condition.
My uncle picked it out of the Rock Island Arsenal while he was stationed there in the mid 60s.
He also brought down an early Czech Mauser that is also in nice shape.
So, to celebrate, I am joining them with my Lee Enfield for some early 20th Century Bolt Action bliss down on the range.

Eh glad to hear your back and ok there Durandal. What happened again, Im having a brain fart for some reason.
While I was at the Knob Creek Machine Gun Festival some hillbilly's next to our campsite were burning poison ivy covered logs...or at least that is what we were assuming since all of our wood was from my saw mill (scraps...all oak and maple). I had a respiratory attack on that Sunday after we had packed up and an allergic reaction.
What made this all worse is that I had already had a bout of allergies from pollen and mold (Cincinnati sucks for that) and a day or two before we went to the shoot I had aspirated a bunch of phlem and snot and general fluid when my sinus had released why I was sleeping. Which has the effects of Bronchitus...several days of cough up crap out of your lungs.
On top of all of that I smoke, so my lungs were not 100% to begin with.
Which all led to the trip to the hospital.
Unfortunately, I also live in the Greater Cincinnati area, which has some of the higher number of asthma sufferers due to the high mold and pollen counts and pollution trap in the valleys (though not as bad from what I hear as Atlanta). I do not suffer from asthma but it is not a great place to be when you have what happened to me. So, I spent close to two weeks inthe hospital. The first part to keep me breathing during the allergic attack and inflamation of the poison ivy and the later part because the doctors were worried that while recovering I might have another attack due to the air quality when I was about to be released.
Which, since my insurance was handling, I was not going to complain about. I hate hospitals, doctors, and operating rooms/dentist chairs. Not too sure why, but I try to go to the doctor as little as possible...this was like hell to me. Trapped in a building. Getting visits from friends and family but being able to do a damn thing except chill in my room...
I am an outdoors person and being cooped up like that is a "blight upon my soul"...
I am out now, spent two days at work...nothing crazy and things should be ok when it is time to bale hay in May.

durandal,
This is probably a stupid question, but are you the mapper for the half life mod fire-arms, because I think one of the maps is named that and several other maps have "easter eggs" in them with what I think is that monkey in you sig. If you have no clue what im talking about, what does durandal mean then?
just a question ive been wondering for a while :)
