I don't know about England. Have you considered Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland?

They're just states of Greater England :-)

Isn't it the mlce system from webtex?

If it is, you can buy it here: http://www.airsoftarmoury.co.uk/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=mlce&x=0&y=0

looks to me like it might be one of those RMP close protection team vests, thats about the closest thing i can think of.

The issue assault vest came about in the same way that the issue chest rig did. Squaddies commissioned their own kit or bought comercial vests, the MoD caught on after a time and produced the issue vest to meet the requirement.

There were loads of small scale kit suppliers that made their own vests long before the issue vest came out. This is probably one of them. It doesn't look like a SASS one, it could be HM Supplies, Troopers, Jay Jays, PWL etc etc. Difficult to tell unless there's someone here who bought the exact vest themselves.

I think it is a very old Arktis Vest I can rember seeing one in an old SOF catalogue years ago when I was a nipper. it was modulars and the pouches attatched with velcro and press studs.

I'd go for an old Atktis - purely 'cos it's BPT in the pic

This vest is not from Arktis. I never found something like this in samply room, or in files.

I concur, it looks like the first vest that they brought out that had (re) movable pouches. The attachment was velcro and press studs, which is what we can see on the face of it.

I can't recall what it was called.

Lads, I'd rather trust SIWY on this one. If he says it wasn't done by Tim Holden's Arktis then it wasn't. That's information from horses mouth.

SIWY are you guys keeping all the samples of the gear ever made by the company?
