Does anyone remember a documentary that was coming out a while back where in the preview/trailer they had a guy on a motorcycle (sport bike) going to work? It looked really cool. I believe they were F-15 pilots
If anyone can tell me what the title was and if they can find the trailer that would be great too.

The show was called "American Fighter Pilot", one episode aired and then it got canned. I have the trailer you're looking for, PM me if you're interested.

Amazing raw footage that they edited the **** out of, until it looked like an MTV-U music video.

I was looking forward to that program ever since I saw the trailer back in 2001 just after I got to USAFA. In the dark days of your smack year, you took everything you could to motivate you to make it one more day. For a lot of people, this trailer was their motivation-like a light at the end of the tunnel.
When the show came out, everyone was pretty disappointed. It was crap. A potentially amazing program went down the tubes due to the reality TV show craze.
Everyone thought the program was pulled due to low ratings. I didn't find out until later that wasn't the case.
The DO of one of my old squadrons was an F-15C guy. I asked him about the program and he said that the information in it was very good and gave a good overview (and lots of people didn't like Merkin). He also said Gen Jumper (then CSAF) had a clause in the contract that said he had the ultimate say if the program was going to continue or not--no questions asked.
After the first two episodes shown on TV, he said he didn't like what he saw. He said the program glorified alcohol and showed pilots drinking large quantities of it. He told the network to pull the program because he didn't want to have that public image associated with the Air Force and its front line combat pilots--regardless of how accurate it was (last part my words).
So it went away.
If you want some good information, and good flying scenes here and there, get the DVD set. Its actually pretty cheap.
I'm waiting for Speed and Angels to come in the mail right now. http://www2.speedandangels.com/
Navy guys have given less than stellar reviews on its accuracy (haven't got details as to why), but everyone agrees the flying shots are amazing.
