Funny, I heard on the news by a credible CPA high ranking officer that now over 20% is going towards security alone. Thats 20% of billions of $$ with some chaps making 1500 a day.. What a focking screwball situation this is... Instead of that money going to schools and roads and water and electricity which will be of great hep in pacifying the population and making them happy, it goes to PMC's who will never do anything to make Iraq a better place accept possibly do the dying so Georgie can get reelected....
I dont know if people will agree with me or not but all I can say is the same thing that every Iraqi interviewed on TV tells me: "Where is all the money we were promised? Where is the improvement? Why are there armed white men roaming the street with 1,500 per day salary when my son in the IRaqi army doesnt make that in a year? Why cant my daugher go to school? Why is my water still brown? Why do I still only have power for one hour per day?
As long as 20% of billions is being siphined away by corrupt Comany's billing our government over $ 1000 per day per man on the ground than Iraq will never have the money to rebuild...... I think its only goign to get worse IF we can actually get the oil running.. George Bush has no problems spending Billions on PMC's but that will only get worse when he is poending IRaqi money and many will see it as highway robbery.... In the Bible it is referred to as usary...... Funny how George Bush, a devote Chritian. is committing such a blatant example of sin..........oh well maybe if John Kerry gets in power he will be smarter and actually do a damn thing to improve Iraqi infrastructure in places OTHER THAN BAGHDAD.............and maybe win over some Iraqis for a change
This was also on nightly news with Tom Brokow.... months back when he interviwed about 10 high level US commanders.. Each one was in charge of a single town/city and ALL of them complained to the news that they hadnt seen a dime for infrastructure after the innitial block of money because it all went to PMC's.......... They said that after actually doing some good and making Iraqi's happy they ran out of money and were not ableto even complete most projects and that it didnt take long for Iraqi's to stop trusting them and consider them enemies....................
