I found this on foxnews.com, and it is quite interesting. I put an email in describing that the Mystery Weapon number 2 looks like an Early 1800's grenade, but what would it be doing in Iraq?
The first mystery weapon seems to be an RPG, but me and everyone else cannot really seem to identify it. A question that I have is
"why would it have a silencer-type muzzle to it?" No one seems to be able to identify it, so I thought I could start this thread so people could research along with me to see what they can come up with.
Anyone have any ideas of what the "mystery weapons" are?

looks like an old cannonball. Notice the Civil War style timed fuse.

Shouldn't it be black, have a fuse sticking out the top and the word 'Bomb' painted on it? I'm pretty sure I've seen Yosemite Sam use one of them on Bugs Bunny. Although I could be wrong.

Great Call, REMOV! That is probably it. (But what would a South American Bomb component be doing in Iraq?--Unless the insurgents can afford it--)

South African weapons deal with Iraq a while back maybe?
Picked up in South West Africa, then Somalia, then Iraq?
Both are completely plausible...

Back before the Shaw was overthrown, there was a sort of nuke research triangle between Iran, South Africa, and Israel...this could be the remnants of it...who knows.

Not really, SA exported these weapons to iraq when Saddam was President. Has nothing to do with Iran.

Since i heard about a 'Cluster Bomb Ban', I think there is a point of a 'Minigun' type weapon, It would do the same devastating effect on the enemy but loads of spent bullets wont harm passing-by civilians later.

There is already a Minigun type Weapon: Its called Minigun. :|
Actually what are you trying to suggest here?
Cluster Bombs have HEAT Warheads capable of piercing Armor, an effect that can not be achieved without a very large gun.
