Iraqi government will exclude IGC

Saturday 24 April 2004, 10:26 Makka Time, 7:26 GMT

The US has decided to exclude from the interim Iraqi government the majority of politicians who have served on the US-appointed Governing Council over the past year.

In a report on Saturday, The Washington Post cited unnamed US and UN officials who claimed an entirely new Iraqi government would be picked to assume power on 30 June.

The latest shift in policy comes as the US-led occupation administration faces some contentious and long-standing issues ahead of the power transfer.

The Post said at the top of the list of those probably to be jettisoned was Ahmad Chalabi, a Shia politician who for years was a Pentagon favourite and popular with Vice President Richard Cheney.

He was due his time, much like Saddam...

Saddam harbored terrorists and funded terrorism. That's why he's gone. Chalabi is just a fool WE used to provide us with "intelligence."

and funded terrorism.

It has been claimed that he (among others) gave people that had lost their homes or relatives during "Indifada 2" some money, so that they could move on............. This i feel falls far from giving "money for weapons".

That's why he's gone. Chalabi is just a fool WE used to provide us with "intelligence."

Get it?

 Really? YOU used him? I think not, i "think" he too care that "you" were actually serving his needs, and finaly as you did....... (start the war) "you" realized too late that "good old Ahmed" had given you a good old ass fook, and there would not be happy people welcoming you as you occupied their nation......... it even went worse, as "the poor shiites", people of "Ahmed" himself, are now fighting against "you" after they got rid off bigger "nuisance"...... Saddam...

The biggest US embassy of the world in Iraq. Coincidence? ;)

As for Chalabi, interesting article about the Pentagon's once loved, now rather distrusted, weasel:

Intelligence: A Double Game
Has Chalabi given 'sensitive' information on U.S. interests to Iran? He denies it, but the White House is wary
