Hello-
For a tactical carbine, how important is an adjustable stock. It seems extremely important to me, but I know little.
So on a scale of 1-10 how important would you say it is for a carbine to have an adjustable Length of Pull?
Also, what is the maximum length of pull that can work well with a full amount of gear and/or thick body armor?
Thanks!

Answer to first question is 1.
To second, operable length of pull depends on the weight and center of gravity of the weapon.

it is very important....when you start adding in factors like body armor and molle vests etc...you definately need a shorter LOP....I rate a 10

God didn't make everyone w/ the same size chest and same arm lengths.
Add on to that what you are wearing in regards to gear (armor, vests, etc) and an adjustable stock comes in handy.
8 - Pretty damn essential if you ask me.

see... this is where the survey go horribly worng..
is it 1-10, as 10 being the most import or the other way around?
To me an adjustable LOP is important, not in the ways of a MagPul PRS stock type of LOP adjustment, but in terms of a collapisble stock LOP adjustment.
I shoot most of the time with the stock set at the first or second stop on the buffer tube.
