Yeah, I found this odd as well, it certainly is not an MG 34 but why did they bother to mention 7.92 as the caliber? Hard for me to believe that a country like the Sudan would choose a calibre that was not consistent with either US or in those days USSR. They would have a hard time procuring 7.92 considering nobody has really made it in bulk since WW2. We've debated this here before but if they were going to use the MG3/42 why not use the MG3 so they can get Nato countries to give them 7.62x51? I found that odd, maybe its just a misprint since they did identify it as a MG34 instead of a MG42 in 7.92. Thoughts deutschersoldat? Thanks for posting by the way, great pics.

By the way, I bet that Alamein memorial is moving. Lots of Brits and Germans lost their lives there.
