View Full Version : Video of fighting in Fallujah
I'm not sure if this was posted, but i watched a video from FOXNEWS.com, with Marines in a firefight. One of them I think has a GPMG, which is cool, but kind of new to me.
Can't get a direct link to here, but as of now 1:54 Pm EST, its on the foxnews site, can't miss.

Is there some way to actually download this video clip? On my 56k modem (all the way from South Africa too) this streaming video stuff just doesn't work for me - a series of photos instead of video, and really crappy sound. :(
That was a GPMG though right?

It was FN MAG, but as it was used by Americans... i think the "right name of it" is then M240..... ;)
*Edit*

As far as I know, the only American unit that uses the M60 is the SEALs, who use the MK43 Mod 0 aka M60E4. The Marines use the M240G ("Golf") machine gun, which is essentially an FN MAG.
Yea. I've heard nothing but praise for the m240 from Marines. Any word on how the m60e4 is doing amongst SEALs? Maybe Shrek knows something about this?

I don't know about the Marines history with the M240 but they've been standard on the M1 Abrams since it's introduction (1982). It kicks but over the M60 - just try cleaning both you'll know why.
Also, in operation it never seems to jam - you can put a lot of metal downrange. The M1 coax and the loader's station wep are M240s. We loved them. I understood it was a Belgian design.
catdat out.

The MAG (Mitrailleuse d'Appui General = General Purpose Machinegun), had been developed by the famous Belgian company FN Herstal in the 1950s
Like said, already couple of times, its FN MAG. (they all are....)

So, what is so intense about the last video? I see marines shoot their guns, but there is no incoming fire.
