New Swedish army AK5C?

AK5CF (Försök / test) is on trial on some regements in sweden.. i cant be arsed to give more info atm, so just wait for some other silly swede like me to come with lots of lots of loveable info ;)

Some of the modifictions :
* One kg heavier
* Aimpoint sight
* Adjustable buttstock
* Plasticmagazine (Often breaks if dropped on hard surface when fully loaded)
* Laserpointer (IR)
* Front vertical handgrip
* Last round block / stop.. what ever the correct word would be :P
* Safety switch on right and left side
* New Flashhider to minimize muzzleflash during night combat

På 4. Säkerhetsförbandskompaniet genomförs under utbildningsåret 2003/2004 försök på en renoverad/modifierad automatkarbin som kallas för ak 5CF.
C är namnet på just den aktuella modellen i ak 5-familjen och F står för försök.

Försöken kommer att genomföras under hela utbildningsåret och försökstruppen här på F 4 består av gruppbefälsuttagna flygbassäkerhetssoldater. Denna kategori kommer efter genomförd GSU inneha befattningarna patrullchef eller hundförare.

Sammanhållande för försöken är MSS Kvarn och truppförsöken genomförs på F 4, I 5, P4, Amf 1 och LG.

Syftet med försöket i sin helhet är att ta fram underlag för renoverings- och modifieringsåtgärder av ak5, samt målsättning för ett optiskt sikte. Nyheter/målsättning på försöksmodellen är bl. a ökad hanterbarhet, höjd funktionssäkerhet, förenklat handhavande, minskad signatur vid eldgivning, moderniserade tillbehör samt att möjliggöra montage av rödpunktssikte och andra tillbehör.

På försöksmodellen sitter idag ett rödpunktsikte EHV som anskaffats till Hemvärnet.

assault weapon named AK5CF are taking place. C is the name of the actual model in the AK5 family, and F stands for försök (trial/test).

One thing that can be noted with the AK5C (and also the modernized AK4B
for the Homeguard) is that there is no open sights. Which is so dumb
if you ask me. The open sights only remains on the CGA5P (Swedish crisis/reserve
police standard weapon):
