as far as i can remember this pilot evaded 9 SAM's.. and then when he returned to base they found that even though he had "used" his chaff and flares, they were still aboard his plane.. so this pilot actually avoided 9 SAM's without any flares and chaff ;D

A guy once told me that the reason for the US to lose only so little aircraft during the Gulfwar was that, the russians passed on the codes and frequnces on which the Sams worked to the americans just a couple of weeks before the war.

Could also be the RC-135's the Yanks had that would have been logging the entire Electronic Orbat the Iraqi's would have been radiating with...and IIRC the design of the then Iraqi Air Defence System was French....KARI.
