I just saw a clip on the news this afternoon showing new footage recently released of a Spectre Gunship knocking the you-know-what out of what was claimed to be an al-Qaeda group in Iraq. I can't find the clip anywhere yet online. Anyone help a brother out?
In the meantime, here is my favorite Spectre video - the soundtrack is awesome, as is the damage that is being inflicted in the imagery.

Instead they head for cover, they run around giving a clear visible target in FLIR view.

Yes. From the myriad footage i have seen, i would say the very best option for survival appears to be playing dead as soon as possible - well away from any technicals, which are sure to be obliterated.

The people running seemed fairly impervious to 40mm rounds bursting all around them unless they dropped smack bang on their heads...were they just HE rounds? do they come in fragmentation anti-personel rounds or air burst??
Also the US should consider adapting a side firing, smaller air version of the Losat system with an airburst anti-personel fragmentation warhead. They could use it to explode directy above the technical without having it to be too accurate and the effect would be devastating. There seems to be too much lag time between firing those 40mm rounds. Then the loiter time with high firepower and speed on delivery would be awesome combination right?!
Also I am guessing the first few rounds were from the gatling and then the 40mm rounds were used right??

The aircraft the first part of the video wasn't flying in a circle but looked fairly stationary so it looked to me like an Apache firing its 30 mm gun at different rates of fire.
Part of the problem is in those sandy fields the sand absorbs a lot of the shrapmetal that would go horizontally so the rounds have to hit quite close to do any damage.
