I had the opportunity to go to an FTX with the ROTC here on campus at Camp Rilea in Astoria, Oregon. They have a pretty good MOUT course set up.

During the weekend, we were given some instruction on basic room clearing techniques and went through one simulation with M16s and blanks. It was crazy. It gave me a whole new level of respect for the amount of training required to really master the techniques needed to perform it safely and efficiently. I also have a lot more respect for all the soldiers conducting searches over in Iraq now. I can't imagine going into each house wondering if there was someone on the inside wanting to make it the last house I ever entered. Hell of an experience.

I've done some work with Security Forces Marines that were equipped and trained alot like those guys. Bunch of hardcore, well trained warriors.
