Heres a video from the view of the insurgents, apperently in AL-Fallujah. This video doesnt contain any propaganda, which i believe is very rare. In the middle you can see the shelling of an area, I dont know if it is American or from the insurgents....I would guess by the US.

I saw it this morning. It's pretty wild seeing that American artty incoming. At one point you here someone shooting back at the insurgents, but it sound slike AK fire. Im guessing they were shooting at Iraqi forces.

Im guessing it was captured, as it has no music or waving flag logos. Usually when you see them like this, they were captured before the editing could be done.

Well sure I've seen pics an videos of captured and killed terrorists. But it is hard to guess the numbers because those are only little excerpts of the whole.

according to CNN, i think we have about 10 terrorist killsp-)

i think there were some numbers floating around a few months back. obviously they showed it for an entire 2 seconds.
i don't remember exactly, but it was some crazy high number, something like 100:1 vs. our losses. the civilian count was pretty high also, but those are mostly due to them killing each other.

And as for the rest of you guys commenting like "they can't shoot for ****" and "they are as skilled as Borat" take another look at the sitaution in Iraq before making smart ass comments. If the insurgents were so dumb they wouldn't be around.

I dont have any military training yet I wouldnt shoot like that, its not like it takes years of experiance to learn how to fire a AK properly?

they aren't dumb, but they can't shoot either....ive seen a number of discover and military channel documentaries where uS soldiers say the same thing....and a lot of them have said they;d be dead if the errorists could shoot better..

IEDs on the other hand are a real threat...much more than a firefight...

At the beginning of the video one is looking down the sights as he fires, after that they are all shooting from the hip. Perhaps they can't see any targets and are just throwing bullets down the steet as suppressive fire. There is a lot of footage of US soldiers in vietnam shooting without aiming. It used to be accepted military thinking that it was the amount of ammunition put downrage that was important, but more recently armys have started to appreciate the value of good markmenship again.

It would be interesting to know what percentage of insurgents killed by US forces have been killed by small arms fire. I would have thought it was quite small and that they are usually killed by gunships, airstrikes, tank fire and snipers.

Using automatic weapons in the observed way is total waste of ammunition. (even in supressive fire the aim is to supress the enemy with accurate short pursts of fire)
Reminds me from one of our own wars with russians where we lost 26.000 in deaths compared to russians 126.000
It was later calculated that 98% of the small calipre ammunation used by soviet troops were wasted by poor shooting ablity.
