I doubt that it´s a question of a accident in that case. I think it´s rather a old
aircraft that is used by airport firemen to practice with. They wouldn´t of course
use brand new Gripens for $35 million, break of their wings and flip them over
like that.

whatta ya think broke the Starlifter, Ice maybe?

Pretty sure metal fatigue contributed to the loss of the startlifter. I believe it was being fueled at the time and the wing just snapped. It would give me the warm fuzzies flying on these airplanes.

That Su 27 pilot might be landing like that on purpose...

I think it probably has to do with the fuel as it was being loaded. I am not sure how it works, but I think it was the pressure in the tanks.

IIRC the plane was lifted by jacks, the landing gear lowered, and it flew back to Russia. There is a video of this somewhere. Also, it looks as if the plane landed on the hardpoints that are located underneath the plane.

Russian Su-27. wrong landingIsn't this the crash when the pilot forgot to switch on the landing gear?
Btw. Does anyone have a video or photos about JAS 39 Gripen crashing in two airshows 1993 and 1999?

Ever seen the pics of that cargo plane that was overpressurized? Nasty!

Nasty being gory? or nasty being the damage to the aircraft?

Ever seen the pics of that cargo plane that was overpressurized? Nasty!
The investigation report said somthing like someone neglected to open the venting valve while refueling, the increasing liquid fuel volume combined with the fuel gas inside the tank and then SNAP! CRACKLE! and POP!!
Other accident factors includes unfamiliarity with the type of aircraft, due to the fact that the refueling task was given to a civilian contracting company.

Just a small pic of the first crash, landing gear folded and the planed started
to tumble on the grass, media of course dubbed the plane to be the worlds
most expensive digger of all times.

1993
The plane crashed on a field, and nearly missed a bridge where thousands of
people where standing.
The Swedish Air Force lost her third JAS 39A (39156/56) the pilot escaped safely. This aircraft came in the jet blast of an other JAS 39 during a mock dogfight, the pilot lost control, the plane crashed in the Vänern lake near the island Djurö.

This photo is still from the testing period, correct? Also, didn't the same pilot crash two Gripens?

Gripen made its first flight in 1988 so it doesn't seem likely that it was participating in an airshow allready in 1989.
would be a good reason for an aircraft to crash though and if the pilot made it out of that crash alife he's gotta be the luckiest guy on earth

No you're right it wasn't an airshow. It was during testing. But yes the pilot did survive. He was well enough to crash the Gripen again during the "Stockholm Water Festival". Luckily enough (a combination of extreme luck and some skill I'd say) the plane crashed where noone stood.
And yes, he survived that crash aswell. :)
