maybe look like a glock...a known place here called Danao Made...they illegally manufactured a clone...

muslim insurgent here can manufactured even m16, non blow back ingram, m203 or rpgs but in a low quality products...

if that gun is original glock...then why to be destroyed? we have lacked of guns for our army and police...

I recommend these Haix mountain boots. They're pretty stiff, but should soften up after some use. You should get them in one size larger if you intend on wearing heavy socks:
http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/4470/bootsfn6.th.jpg (http://img231.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bootsfn6.jpg)

I got them from the German shop Recon Company, they cost about $200 shipped: http://www.recon-company.com/BW_Berg...821-728-d.html (http://www.recon-company.com/BW_Bergschuh_Orig__nach_TL_mit_GORE_TEX_Futter_Gr_37_240__48_310_-821-728-d.html)

NO! Haix isn´t as good as Lowa, HanWag or Meindl. Those are Germany´s best and if you want to get fantastic hiking boots, go for one of te following, you wont be disappointed!

- Lowa Mountain Boot (make sure they ain´t counterfeits) (narrow)
- Hanwag Alaska GTX (intermediate)
- Meindl Island Pro MFS (wide)

Abizaid, 55, who isn't giving interviews as he departs, has said his retirement had long been planned and has nothing to do with unhappiness with the job he's done - either from him or his superiors.

"No decision that anybody makes in a position like this is ever totally their decision, but I think the time is right, and it has nothing to do with dissatisfaction," he told reporters in Baghdad last year.

His career has been a whirlwind of important posts: service in elite Ranger and airborne units; winner of a prestigious scholarship to study abroad; battalion commander; the Army Chief of Staff research group; and Franks' deputy commander at CentCom.

In the 1983 U.S. invasion of Grenada, Abizaid hot-wired a bulldozer to improvise an attack on a Cuban bunker. The episode was depicted in Heartbreak Ridge, a 1986 movie with Eastwood playing Abizaid.

"When people talk among themselves, they'll say, 'Abizaid has a 40-pound brain,' " Michael Pasquarett, a retired colonel who teaches at the Army War College, told the Atlantic Monthly in a 2003 story.

As he took the top job at MacDill-based CentCom, the nerve center of the military's efforts in the Middle East, Abizaid immediately set himself apart by declaring American forces were engaged in a "classical guerrilla-type campaign." story (http://www.sptimes.com/2007/03/16/Worldandnation/Abizaid_s_uneasy_exit.shtml)

even though his weapon is not in the shoulder, the beauty of a holo sight, is that wherever that red aiming point is pointing, thats where your bullets will go. ALthough it is always better to have your weapon in the shoulder.

Pete031 is correct, but it is also worthy to note that he is stabilizing the weapon by pulling its sling taught. This is a technique more commonly used with concealable submachine guns. But hey, what ever works.

The Tapuach settlement Alertness squad during a CT training.
Alertness squads are not military, nor police (hence no uniform). They are ex-military (some ex-SF) civillian who volunteer for this task. The weapons are supplied by the army/police, and equipment (laser pointers, flashlights, vests etc') are usually bought by the people.

The backpack the SEAL is wearing looks like the same one I was issued from Mystery Ranch.

The US jumpers in Djibouti are from EOD-MU8. When I jumped with the Commandos Marines down there many of them seemed to have more pride in being from Brittany than being from France- Never figured out why.

BTW- I suggest boots from Raichle.

Not to be critical but Admiral Fallon looks a little long in the tooth. Well at least he's lived some history. Maybe he'll be smart enough to learn from it. Seems no one else can learn......

I don't understand what you mean... You're article had no bearing on my comment, no offense. I remarked that it was doubtful he would remain out of the Iraq discussion after his retirement. More than likely he still has a lot of work to do and will be involved for the coming years in a variety of capacities, whether it be as a consultant, expert opinion, etc. Oh and by the way I'm attending the retirement cermony, he his son dates my sister!

The Army should have gave those FAKE guns back to the rebels as a ****y trap to blow up in their hands when they use it....cost effective . I guess they kept the good condition guns for their own armory or sold it back to the rebels hehehehehe
