View Full Version : What was the most pointless thread ever?
And you can't say "This one" because it's not big and it's not clever.
Also off limits are Seoulstrikers ***** threads because that's just too easy a target.

Well... at this point, I'm going to have to go with the "My Weekend" thread, because it is so fresh in my mind. I'm going to shoot someone if it goes on much longer.

This is a fat sack of suck.
I'm really disappointed now, I expected a thread like this to churn up way more animosity.

What do you mean by pointless? Pointless as ridiculously talking about nothing? Or pointless as generating absolutely no conversation because it was that pointless?
A pointless thread is a thread with no point, that seems pretty clear cut to me but if you can think of other definitions then please feel free to explore them.

Yeah, i thought My weekend was pretty strange in that, 99% of people whop started picking on brontokills appearance, didnt bother posting their own photos.
Althought the POINT of the thread was pretty interesting in my opinion.
So I guess I will have to go with one of the MF threads.

USA320's example is hands down the winner, that thread is almost a year old, and completely pointless.
I have to admire that in some strange twisted way.
rofl @ usa's thread. 186 pages...40 posts a page. That's almost 7500 posts.

I earned my 4,000th post, and my 6000th post on that thread.

nah, that forum is great though if your into computer games or airplanes. The mods are great people too. Obviously they are pretty lenient. The only real moderating theve done is removing the politics forum because it got too messy. For the most part they love to join in the fun. The one Moderator and Admin is Andy Bush, he flew F-4's and A-10's, both in Vietnam and the Persian Gulf. He also worked on the testing team for LockOn: Modern Air Combat.
90% of the threads are incerdibly useful. The other 10% is that one thread.

Well, if you're naked, it doesn't matter where you are or how far away your target is - nakedness takes care of all these factors.
If I was naked in a tower, I think I would want an M-14. My nakedness would let me feel and act cool and sexy, while the M-14 would let me take care of business. It would be the best of both worlds.

Thank you for your advice. It's always nice to have an expert to turn to on important matters such as these. As for training... if I'm planning to shoot naked... is it important that I train naked as well? I know that creating a scenario that is as close to reality as possible is sometimes advised. Please advise. :D

You should ALWAYS train in the most realistic way possible. So, yes, if you plan to shoot in the buff, you shoud train that way (unless it is too cold).

What sort of pistol would you suggest? The clocktower might not always be the most feasible option.

A M1911 in .45 is always a good choice.
Also shot nekkid I presume?

Of course not, Haiw. Shooting from a clocktower requires one to be naked. If I walked around naked with a pistol, people would think I was crazy.
