I created this one myself a while back. It's my first video creation. I know there is 1 scene where there is actually footage from the Para's, which my lazy eyes couldn't pick up...
Hope you like.

Do you mean the opening segement, or the various bits taken from Sangin. Don't forget the nice clip of the Short Range Desert Group in their shiny pink WMIKs...
Other than that nice footage of the endurance course :)

Nice vid! Quite a bit of it was from the documentary about 3 commando in Afghanistan which is an excellent piece of film.

Good video bro, you should make some more. Possibly with SAS or the Para's.

Excellent vid buddy. Royal marines are very professsioanl soldiers, I don't thnk they get enough regognition of their accomplishements and the sheer hell they go through.

great video and good work by the Marines. My buddy is ex-bootneck and I think he would have a fit at being associated with anything to do with Para reg. So from my point of view keep it coming!!!!!

How long is the underwater tunnel you they make them swim through? I will have nightmares tonight form seeing that scene. Nice video and I like the music with it.

I was merley making a suggestion and commenting on his good work. If you are so concerned about it that would be a good mission for YOU to find the footage. With over 4,000 replies you obviously have the time.

Hmmm.
Don't think you quite got the drift of my comment.
Never mind

This is the Brits version of USMC or is it a smaller segment of their total Marine force?

Ah so its a bit of a different beast than the USMC. I read a bit on wikipedia, but still have difficulty grasping exactly what it is. It seems they have a selection process unlike USMC. Hum, wait it doesn't look like it has a selection process. Eh I'm confused.

Not so much 'selection' but more of a 'hellish course'.

To get in is actually quite difficult. Medical, psych tests, interview PJFT and PRMC. Will take at least 5 months from application date, to start of basic.
The Royal Marines are a Commando raiding force which is trained to operate in all terrains and environments. Training is 32 weeks long of the hardest physical and mental conditioning required to pass. Somethings I did,I never want to do again.

Might mention they are an amphibious force (probably obvious) and can be deployed IMMEDIATELY after they finish their training. There was a Royal Marine troop which after graduating on the Friday were shipped out to Iraq 1991 the Saturday night.

Take it from me the whole of the Corps hates that slogan. So negetive!
Even the Commandant General has expressed his dislike for it.
