Here is the DIFFERENCE. The insurgent is getting medical attention.
If that had been a Coalition soldier in their hands, I don't even want to think about it.

A Thai soldier, front, signals his colleagues as a plaincloth police officer looks on from behind outside Krue Se mosque in Pattani province, southern Thailand Wednesday, April 28, 2004. Police gunned down scores of machete-wielding militants who stormed more than a dozen security outposts Wednesday, the bloodiest day of fighting yet in Thailand's troubled Muslim-dominated south. The death toll stood at least 112. Only five security force personnel were among the dead. The rest were insurgents, mostly teenagers. (AP Photo/Apichart Weerawong)

This is the first evidence I've seen of the Thais using the G-36 - is this a large-scale adoption, or just small numbers - anyone?

Da der manglede tre kilometer, syntes Kim Becker Rasmussen at han havde så gode ben, at han da ligeså godt kunne tage gasmaske på. Det afholdt ham dog ikke fra at følges med Jakob Aarslev over målstregen som de første.

FALLUJAH, IRAQ: US marines from the First Battalion, 5th Marines, Bravo Company, prepares to leave the Abuh Gharib Camp (former Mercury Camp) to patrol the outskirts of the restive city of Fallujah 28 April 2004. NAJAF, IRAQ: Honduran troops take position during a protest held by Voices of the Wilderness peace activists in front of the Honduran base near the Iraqi holy city of Najaf, 28 April 2004. US Secretary of State Colin Powell appealed to US allies for more soldiers following the announced withdrawal of Spanish, Honduran and Dominican Republic troops during the bloodiest month for coalition forces in Iraq since the fall of Baghdad a year ago. The Swiss SIG 550/ 551, or better known as SIG PE90/ Sturmgewehr 90, is much more accurate than the also accurate H&K's. As a civilian sport shooter, I see many guy's winning matches with this rifle. A AR-15 can only reach the SIG standard after a $2 K tuning and Match conditioning job. Its a nice rifle to shoot, and also our Dutch BBE (Counter Terror) marines are using this as a "semi-sniper" rifle, and I saw some SF France troops walking with the SIG in Liberia.
The German GSG-9 are using this rifle since the early '90's.

:cantbeli: Some much money wasted to protect public and private properties... Not counting the extra cost for overtimes, bringing more troops, choppers etc.

The same goes for every summit either in American Europe or Japan.

I mean, can't those VIPs meet within a military compound with special accomodations?

AR can only reach the SIG standard after a $2 K tuning and Match conditioning job.

Ammo and shooter are much more important. I've seen people put lots of money in guns with little effect. My more or less stock HBAR will tag it at 600 with iron sites. The only thing you really need to buy for the AR is the trigger if you get a raspy one, or want a two-stage. Or a scope if you swing that way.

hindu extremist cause a lot of problems against muslims in Indian and against Buddhists in Sri Lanka. In Sri Lanka they have commercial districts fenced off and machine gun nests everywhere, it's probably the country with the closest problems to those of Israel and yet you are ignorant to it.

now another bad choice, mexican extremists, ever heard of the Zapatista? No thought not, put more thoughts into your posts, and stop trying to make muslims out to be the spawn of the devil.

CADPAT AR is issued to soldiers on recon missions (like the pictures HE219 posted) becuase those are the only times it is needed, and I think some Officers were theirs. The Canadians dont want to hide their presence in A-Stan, they want to have the people know that they are there as Peacekeepers. When Canadian soldiers were first sent to A-stan they did not have CADPAT AR completly finished yet, thats why you did not see it, now they have it.

Wearing CADPAT TW(Temporate Woodland) is not usless in A-stan because it works well in the mountians against rocks, and it works in the grassy parts of the country. If you dont believe me go look in the photo galleries.

Which one do you think is the norm in the US Army?

It's unfortunate that even in the US Army there are bad apples. But when we find out about it, we deal with them decisively.

6U.S. Soldiers Charged With Abusing Prisoners In Iraq

BAGHDAD, March 21 (IslamOnline.net & News Agencies) - Six U.S. military police officers in Iraq have been charged with maltreatment, assault and indecent acts against prisoners at the Abu Gharib prison west of Baghdad, a top U.S. army spokesman said Saturday, March20 .

“As a result of the criminal investigation, six military personnel have been charged with criminal offenses,” Agence France-Presse (AFP) quoted Brigadier General Mark Kimmitt as telling a press conference.

The charges “include conspiracy, dereliction of duty, cruelty, maltreatment, assault and indecent acts,” he said.

The crimes involve less than 20 prisoners and happened around November and December2003 .

“Even though it was a very small number, that's the kind of cancer you have to cut out completely,” he said.

Kimmitt, the U.S.-lead occupation’s deputy operations chief, said the six U.S. military police officers were among 17 military personnel who were suspended when the investigation was launched on January14 .

“The coalition takes all reports of detainee abuse seriously and all allegations of mistreatment are investigated,” he said.

“We are committed to treating all persons under coalition control with dignity, respect and humanity. Coalition personnel are expected to act appropriately, humanely and in a manner consistent with the Geneva Convention.”

They soldiers are due to face an Article 32 hearing - the military equivalent of a grand jury inquiry - which will decide whether the military should prosecute them.

In July2003 , four U.S. soldiers were charged with assaulting and battering Iraqi prisoners of war, in the first announcement of its kind since U.S. President George W. Bush declared the war to occupy Iraq over on May1 .

A spokesman for the London-based human rights watchdog Amnesty International said the organization submitted a25 -page report to the U.S.-led occupation administration in Iraq on “excessive use of force, shooting demonstrators, maltreating prisoners and civilians by American soldiers”.

Iraqi inmates held at various U.S.-run detention centers are subjected to prolonged hooding, sleep deprivation, restraint in painful positions -- sometimes combined with exposure to loud music and bright light, according to the document compiled by Amnesty monitors who have been working in Iraq since April 2003 .

First of all: There are bad apples in all armies. Sure you know that, since you live where you live.

The first photo, I am sure those guys got the punishment that they deserved.
Second photo I belive is a reconstruction on what methods that the Iraqi's used. No matter what, I can't and wount belive that the Americans use electricity during interigations.

And I rather be captured by Americans than the Iraqi's. Even you would want that. :D

Hey guess what...I don't give s**t. If I had a dollar for everytime one of our POW's was mistreated I could retire ten times over. I'm not condoning what was done. I'm just saying that you shouldn't look for sympathy for those f**ks especially when talking to US servicemen/women. I spent plenty of time over there seeing what those pieces of s**t did to their own people. As far as I'm concerned, you get what you deserve. And they got theirs, now those MP's will get theirs.

End of story.
